Alzheimer's and Personality Traits

I discovered that even though my mother had Alzheimer's, her personality came through loud and clear.  Whether she was aggressive or sad, I was able to link it back to things in her past.  That increased my compassion for what she was going through.  It let me know that she was there even it seemed as if she not.http://ladybugalzheimercommunity.xing.com

A Different Kind of Gift for Mother's Dau

I read in the Alzheimer's Weekly that "The greatest gift to give Mom this Mother’s Day may not be flowers, cards, or even jewelry.  It may just be the gift of giving attention to changes. It is a time to note new patterns. This helps identify problems and take steps to provide care and support", how very true. See More
